Zoila E. Orduz

Zoila Esperanza Orduz, age 81, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 6th, 2021. She was born in Bucaramanga, Colombia and moved at a very young age to Venezuela. She married, raised two daughters, Milka and Zoila Marisela, and led a fulfilling career as a physical therapist. 

In 1993, along with Milka and her grand-daughter Zoila Natasha, they made a brave and rewarding decision to move to Windsor, CT. There they joined her youngest daughter Zoila Marisela and the majority of the Orduz family that had already been settled in the United States. Zoila, naturally took on the role of mother, grand-mother, aunt, and friend to any one in need of love and care. She had the need to make everyone else's problem her own; not being able to sleep until she could come up with a way to help solve them. The problems, inconveniences or goals and triumphs of others also became her own. Her home, her arms, and her heart were always open to all. She always knew exactly what someone needed to hear in order to feel uplifted, hopeful, and optimistic. She was the matriarch of her family, a true leader and beacon of light and love.

Zoila joins her brothers Mario Orduz, Jorge Orduz, Aliro Orduz, sister Yolanda Orduz , and sisters in-law Victoria Orduz and Graciela Orduz in heaven. She is survived by daughters Milka Rojas and Zoila Rojas, grand-daughter Zoila Polis, grandson in-law Steve Polis, the light of her life great grand-daughter Valentina Polis, sisters Mery Orduz and Oliva Orduz and many beloved nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 13th from 5:00-7:00 PM at Manchester Funeral Home in Manchester, CT. A burial will follow on Friday, May 14th at 10:00 AM at St. James Cemetery Manchester, CT
