Suzanne Ruth (Lieber) Lieber-Sanden

Suzanne R. Lieber-Sanden, entered into eternal life on April 25, 2021 at Saint Francis Hospital.

Suzanne was born in Syracuse, NY on May 27, 1955 to the late Arthur B. Lieber and Martha D. Decker. Moving to Manchester at age 5, she graduated Manchester high school in 1974. She worked in the insurance industry while attending school at Manchester Community College. Suzanne later worked for the artistic restoration Corporation producing dental appliances and devices for the dental industry for several years. She continued her education until becoming a licensed phlebotomist in Connecticut and continued in that career for many years.

In her life, enjoying writing poems and short stories and was published shortly after high school. She also enjoyed the hobby of stained glass and donated most of her works to local churches and close friends. Suzanne also was an avid outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed hiking, floral design, gardening, sailing and all the outdoor activities that could be found at the family cottage located at Candle Wood Lake in Connecticut.

Suzanne was a very special person to all who knew her and lived a good Christian life. She is survived by her husband Harold Sanden of Manchester, CT, her two sisters, Martha Housley of Cheyenne WY, Laura Battaglia of Frederick MD. She also leaves behind her nephews CJ, Matthew and Brian Battaglia of Maryland, Meryl Sanden of Pooler, GA, her great nephew Randall Madore, her friend and nice Linnea Madore and her husband Rick along with her brother-in-law Roy Sanden also of Manchester, CT.

Suzanne and her husband divided their time together at their homes in Manchester and Yucca Valley, California. She enjoyed the biannual car trips across this beautiful country, traveling to the West in the fall and East in the spring. They have been very fortunate to have done this for the past nine years, having friends throughout the United states in Mexico. It is hard to imagine a time without Suzanne. The family wishes to thank you all for the kindness that you, her friends, have always afforded her throughout her short life. Thank you.

Viewing hours will be at the Manchester Funeral Home 142 East Center St. Manchester, CT on Sunday, May 2, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with a church service held on Monday at 10:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church 120 Cooper Street Manchester.  Burial will be private.
