Richard Rose Obituary

Richard Frank Rose of Manchester, Connecticut passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the age of 83.

Richard was born to parents Clinton and Winifred (Brown) Rose on April 17, 1935 in East Orange, New Jersey. Richard was an Eagle Scout and served in the Army Reserves at Fort Devens, Massachusetts. He retired after 30 years at Southern New England Telephone. After retirement he completed 10 years of service as a Connecticut state corrections officer. Richard was also active in the Manchester AA.

Richard is survived by his daughter Laura (Steve) Rose-Knowles, stepson David (Megan) Paine, niece Gwen Rose. He is preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Rose, his parents Clinton and Winifred, his brother Robert Rose and his nephew David Rose.

A visitation to honor Richard will take place Tuesday, September 18, 2018 between the hours of 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Manchester Funeral Home, 142 East Center St., Manchester, CT 06040.
