Mildred Hawley Obituary

Mildred “Millie” Hawley, 91, resident of Coventry, CT passed away peacefully after a long, blessed life and a brief battle with cancer on January 3, 2020, in her home surrounded by devoted family and friends. She was born in Leverett, MA on October 3, 1928, to parents Joseph and Tillie Kuzmeski.

Mildred’s primary life’s treasure has always been her family. She was dedicated to her roles as daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Millie took great pride in caring for her home and for those she held dear. She also worked many years as a valued employee of Pratt and Whitney/ United Technologies in the telecommunications field. After her extensive tenure there, Millie thoroughly enjoyed her retirement years by traveling, celebrating family milestones, engaging with friends, and generally making precious memories. She lived fully, laughed often, and loved deeply, always choosing to dance!

Along with her parents, Millie was predeceased by her husband Richard Hawley; her brothers Joseph, Charles, and William; her sisters Margaret (Barry) and Anne (Lovejoy); and her son-in-law Albert H. LaRocque. Millie is survived by her daughters Christine LaRocque of Manchester, CT and Donna Kutno (husband Larry) of Seffner, FL, and by her grandchildren Kelley Young (husband Jody) of W. Glover, VT and Jason Kutno of Sherman Oaks, CA.  Numerous nieces and nephews and their families also remain among her beloved family members.
