Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Swanson, a long time resident of Manchester, CT, passed away at home on July 24, 2023 at the age of 95. 

Mary was born on November 14, 1927 to Frank and Harriett McDonald in Utica, NY.  Mary later married Walter Knapp, with whom she had three children, Karen Friedman, Kyle Knapp, and Keith Knapp.  She later married Carl Swanson, who preceded her in death. 

She was a long time employee of Hartford Steam Boiler and enjoyed a long and loving retirement. 

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Regina McDonald and Patrice Williams, and her brother, Gerald McDonald.  She is survived by her children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
