Leonora (Poreda) Koza, 101, of Tolland, Connecticut passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in New Haven, Connecticut on December 13, 1918, she graduated from Bulkeley Hight School, in Hartford, CT as well as Bay Path Junior College where she majored in a commercial course. She was employed by the Internal Revenue, Washington D.C. for four years before returning to live in Connecticut. She then worked for various businesses in the Hartford area as a secretary.
Leonora was known for her sharp wit and sense of humor. She enjoyed sewing, bingo and card games. Leonora was also a loving grandmother who delighted in her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic and a regular parishioner at several churches for many years.
She was predeceased by her husband Ted Koza, her parents, Leon and Aniella Poreda, her sister Josephine Poreda, and two brothers Leon and Edward Poreda.
Leonora is survived by her daughter and son in law, Susan and Paul Buonanno of Manchester, three grandchildren, Julie Buonanno of Glastonbury, Lynn Bisi and husband Brian of Glastonbury, Karen Pedemonti and husband Joseph of South Windsor. She also leaves six great grandchildren, Jack, Brooke, and Gianna Bisi of Glastonbury and Grace, Charlotte and Joey Pedemonti of South Windsor.
