Joseph Connor Obituary

Joseph E. Connor, 75, of Manchester, CT, beloved husband of Mary Bernadette, his wife of 52 years, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2020.  Mr. Connor was born on January 26, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY, son of Earl Connor and Catherine Moran.  He received a Bachelor's degree from Manhattan College in 1966, and continued his education at the University of Chicago School of Business.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era, earning among other honors a Joint Service Commendation Medal.  After living in New York and Chicago, Mr. Connor became a resident of Manchester in 1982.  He was the President and CEO of Fiberlock Technologies, Inc., in Andover, MA, for over 25 years until his recent retirement.  He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees.  Mr. Connor was a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Manchester.  He is survived by his two children, Brian Connor and his wife Margaret, and their two children, William and Mary Kathleen, and Jennifer Fant (nee Connor) and her husband Joshua, and their three children, Brendan, Gavin and Jillian.  He also is survived by his sister, Patricia Schaal, her husband Joseph, and by many brothers/sisters-in-law, both here and in Ireland, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Burial services at Holy Cross Cemetery in Glastonbury will be private.  Manchester Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
