Paul P. Margelony of Vernon CT, passed away suddenly on November 6th, 2024. Paul was born on March, 17th 1937 in Hartford CT to the late Peter and Mary Margelony. He was married to Patricia Margelony (Carlson) for 65 years and resided in Vernon for over 60 years.

He will be dearly missed by all. He leaves behind his four son's and families that included Alan (Kathy), Gary (Kim), Douglas (Lee), Brian (Christiana), along with 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind many lifelong, dear friends and cousins.

Paul made friends everywhere he went and had the gift of gab. He was a former pack leader of Cub Scouts Troop Pack 223, a baseball couch, duck pin bowlers and softball player in many leagues.

Paul proudly served in the Army for almost 30 years. He volunteered for the Honor Guard for Military Funerals. He was an active member of the Vernon Historic Society. Also an active member of the Vernon Senior Center where he frequently was found building puzzles, and attending numerous activities that were being held.

Paul also enjoyed working in his yard, gardening and staying busy all the time as an avid gardener. Paul was a devoted follower of Girls and Boys UCONN basketball and he also enjoyed collecting "antiques" and constantly recycled them.

Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, November 17th from 10am till 11:30am at Manchester Funeral Home located at 142 East Center Street, Manchester CT with a Memorial Service between 11:30am and noon.
