Gary L Stickels

Gary L. Stickels, 64, loving husband of 32 years of Cynthia (Gagnon) Stickels passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from complications after heart surgery. Gary was born on May 29, 1954 in Hartford son of the late Bernard & Irene Stickels. He was raised in Manchester, attended local schools and was a graduate of Manchester High School. Gary earned his two degrees from Manchester Community College and Three Rivers Community College in Norwich. He was employed as an Inspector with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for over 30 years until his retirement in 2015. Gary enjoyed day trips with Cindy and he was an avid Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiast. In addition to Cindy he leaves three sons; Eric Hood and his with Kathleen of Coventry, Todd Hood and his wife Shelly of Monument, CO and Daniel Stickels of Connecticut, three loving grandchildren; Natasha Hood and her fiancée Kyle Fortier and their son Karson, and Tyler and Seth Hood, his birth mother Ruth LaFontaine of Whitefield, NH., his sister-in-law Barbara Mason of Stoneham, MA. and his beloved Labradoodle and best friend Harley. Family and friends are welcome to attend a time of visitation at the Manchester Funeral Home, 142 East Center St. in Manchester on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 10:30-11:30 am with a service to begin at 11:30 am at the funeral home.
