Douglas William Clark

October 7, 1937 — October 11, 2023

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Douglas William Clark, October 7,1937 - October 11, 2023, Son of David and Erma Clark, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Entrepreneur of Music, and Friend to All.

Doug led a life dedicated to his friends, family and his business.  He leaves behind his four daughters, Heather & Melissa Clark, Cathi Utley, Peggy Chenault, his grandson, Cedric Hakian, and many friends and clients with whom he had an unbreakable bond. He was the owner and operator of The Gallery, a music recording studio in East Hartford. Over his 50 plus years at The Gallery he touched the lives of many in the industry with his warm smiles, his encouraging words and his positive outlook on life and music. He completed his last job just days before his passing.

When not working on music Doug would spend his days with his daughters and grandson working on his gardens, and giving love and treats to his dogs Sampson, Ollie and Cooper. He was a lover of food and would rotate through all his favorite spots during his week for soup and sushi. Although he has lived in many different locations around the world, none are more special than his time in Quito, Ecuador. He often talked about the trip he took with his two daughters and grandson as well as his 20 years living there where he learned and mastered under the family business HCJB-TV, Quito's first radio and television station.

Calling hours will be held at The Manchester Funeral Home located at 142 East Center Street, Manchester CT on October 19th, between 5-7 p.m.
