Dorothy Diane (Perry) Paquin, 78, sweet, beloved wife of Harry R. (Bob) Paquin of Columbia, CT, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2024, at Manchester Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. Born August 25, 1946, in Newport, RI, Dotty was the daughter of the late Manuel F. and Aletha Perry of Middletown, RI. She and Bob were married in 1968 and lived in Manchester, CT, for several years before moving to Columbia, where she resided for many years. She was employed in various capacities in offices over the years before being afflicted with Guillain-Barré syndrome in 2010. Despite its impact on her physical abilities, she faced it with remarkable courage and maintained her vibrant spirit.
Always a kind and friendly soul, Dotty was a warm, generous, accepting, and extremely humorous person who cared for all she encountered. Beautiful inside and out, she was the most wonderful wife, mother, and friend to all fortunate enough to know her. She found joy in reading, gardening, entertaining during the holidays, visiting the beach, and trips to England and France.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving sons Steven and James Paquin of Columbia, CT, and John Paquin of New York, NY, and brothers Anthony and Michael Perry of Rhode Island and John Perry of Indiana. She was predeceased by her sister Mary Ellen Miller and brothers Manuel, Louis, and Timothy Perry.
Loved by us all, and forever in our hearts, we will never forget the wonderful life she gave us.
