Davon Dameon Gaines

On Wednesday, August 11, 2021, Davon Gaines devoted son, brother, and uncle was called home at the young age of 36 in Hartford, Connecticut. Davon came into this world on February 7, 1985 at Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, New Jersey.

He was a caring person who gave his all to the ones he loved. As a Warehouse Manager and Roofer by trade Davon loved to work with his hands and be creative. His passion for music often connected him to others and allowed him to express his artistic side. His smile and humor could touch your heart and brighten your soul. He was the life of the party for sure. Davon loved to entertain his family, being the self-proclaimed comedian. Nothing brought him more joy than to make his niece and nephew laugh.

Davon was preceded in death by his loving grandmother Shirley Rose Gaines. He is survived by his parents Michael and Deborah Richardson; his three sisters Octavia, Deborah and Vivian; niece and nephew Isabella and Camrin; best friends Markise, Jamie and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Services will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021, at Manchester Funeral Home located at 142 East Center St, Manchester, CT with the viewing from 10:00-11:00am followed by the service from 11:00-12:00pm. The burial will take place at Buckland Cemetery in Manchester immediately after the service. The repass will be held after the burial.
