Thomas J Burke

Thomas J. Burke, 52, of East Hartford, died suddenly on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. He was born on October 9, 1965 in Hartford one of four children of Elizabeth (Donovan) Burke Hughes of Pelion, SC and the late Thomas Burke. Tom was employed as an automotive mechanic and had worked for several companies in the Hartford area. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and he also loved to drive across the country with his family. He loved Ventura CA., just riding down the  101. He loved beach days in Newport RI and lake days in South Carolina. His favorite was lake Murray with his grandkids and Jessica. He loved his mother. She was so special he would call everyday to check on her. He was very handy and had many talents from painting to charming all the ladies.  He will be missed dearly and his heart was “gold”

In addition to his mother he is survived by his daughter Jessica Burke of Pelion, SC and her three children; Tyler, Travis and Jessie, his three siblings; Diane Gosselin of Holiday, FL, Michael Burke of Pelion, SC and Darleen Burke Ramos and her husband Jeffrey Ramos of Colchester, CT. his nephews and nieces; James Gosselin, Seth Gosselin, Kirsten Gosselin, Angela Burke and a daughter Destiny Panno and many cousins in CT and VT.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a time of visitation at Manchester Funeral Home, 142 East Center St. in Manchester on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 5-7 pm.
