Hello, Just learned of Arthur's passing today, because a holiday card I had sent him just came back to me, and I tried phoning him, then looked online to see that he had passed in December. My deepest sympathy to his family and colleagues. Arthur was a wonderful human being -- colleague to my father Leigh Lisker, and at times his mentor, friend to our whole family. He was brilliant, kind, and generous, and we will miss him a great deal.

David, Isaac, Joseph, Ruth, and all others who mourn: I had the pleasure of knowing Arthur and listening to his erudite conversations about his time in Thailand and his knowledge of many languages. He was a scholar and to me he was always kind and courteous. I will miss him. Ann
