Shirley Previti Obituary

Shirley Previti, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully of natural causes on March 22, 2024, in Manchester, Connecticut. Born on December 3, 1943, in Hartford, Connecticut, to the late Edward and Ann Christiansen (Gagnon), Shirley's warm presence and genuine kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.

Shirley grew up in the heart of Hartford, where she attended Hartford High School and went on to further her education with some college courses. Her sharp mind and attention to detail led her to a fulfilling career as a programmer for the State of Connecticut, where she dedicated many years of service until her retirement.

Known for her loving nature, kind spirit, and keen sense of humor, Shirley was a source of joy and laughter for her family and friends. She approached life with a gentle heart and an open mind, leaving a legacy of love and cherished memories. Shirley's interests were as vibrant and varied as her personality. She found pleasure in reading, painting, and playing dominos, activities that reflected her creative and strategic thinking. Traveling to new places brought her excitement, while the tranquility of beaches and the thrill of the casino offered her moments of relaxation and fun.

Family was the cornerstone of Shirley's world. She was predeceased by her son Jack Bagley, and her parents, Edward and Ann Christiansen. She is survived by her husband, Victor Previti, her daughter, Kristine Santana of Louisville, Kentucky, and her grandchildren, Melissa Davis of Hartford, CT, Daniel and Nikki Davis of Bristol, CT, Tara and Matt Koch of Wasilla, Alaska, Samantha and PJ Christie of Marlborough, CT, Gianna Previti of Galesferry, CT, and Anthony, Grayson, and Raelynn Previti of Colchester, CT. Her great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy, include Adriana Davis of Somer, CT, Mikayla Davis of Bristol, CT, Hayden and Finley Koch of Wasilla, Alaska, and Noah Lozano of East Hartford, CT. Shirley also leaves behind her son-in-law and daughter-in-law, Mike and Jillian Previti of Colchester, CT.
